Vegetable soup ww point free

Tonight we are having vegetable soup that is zero points on weight watchers. I use broth, bouillon cubes, cabbage. You can put any veggies in it, but I like just cabbage in mine. I steam the cabbage first. I like this soup because it is quick and low points. I also heat up white rice and put that in my soup. That I have to count the points for, but it makes it so much better. Sometimes we put some Curry Paste into our soup, and it adds even more yummy flavor.

Yummy holiday cooking and back on track

The holidays were fun. Now that I am home full time I can do way more fun things with my family. Over the holidays I made magic cookie bars, chocolate chip cookies, cookies with colored chips, and more. All of them were very yummy. We also had nachos, beef stew, and other tasty dinners. I have the house back in order. Now it is time to return to healthy eating. I want to come up with some new healthy yummy dinners and snacks for my family to enjoy. I am going to start making something tasty with my son as well each week. I want to get more into slow cooking as well. I have not used one in a long time. Tonight we are having tofu and tortillas with coleslaw on them. We use super firm tofu and fry it up in a bit of extra virgin olive oil. Then we put some sauce on it. I like general sauce, but my husband likes something with spice to it. We put the tofu on tortillas and put some coleslaw (no dressing) on it. We eat it like a taco. It is very yummy and very healthy. On Weight Watcher it is 9 points for two tacos, and that includes an entire pack of tofu so there is still some tofu to eat on the plate by itself. I will probably have a skinny cow ice cream after for dessert.

Mostaccioli

Last night I made some yummy mostaccioli. It was later in the nights so I used jar sauce. I added onion, salt, pepper, garlic, and some sugar to the sauce. I made corn and broccoli to go with it. It was smelling so yummy and I was so excited, and then I realized I forgot to cook the noodles. I was laughing so hard. We were so ready to eat and then oh wait make some noodles. It turned out to be very yummy.

Cooking at home

I am not working outside of my house anymore so I have decided it is time to really start cooking at home. I am the order out or go out any time you can person. I would try to find a reason to go out to eat. Now I am going to start cooking at home as much as possible. I have never really cooked much. So, this is a learning experience for me. I can not think of one thing that I cook that is amazing. I want to start picking one thing each week at least that I have never cooked and try it out. I want to start baking also. I think it will be fun to cook with my little one also. Starting Monday I am going to keep track of what I eat and how often I cook. This week I made tacos and spaghetti. They were both good, but easy. I know that if I keep going I will be a very good cook. I will post on here to keep myself on track. See you Monday.....
